On average, effective and well-installed cavity wall insulation could save you up to £250 year on your energy bills.
The cost of cavity wall insulation varies depending on the size of your property. We can carry out a survey and give you a free quote for the work involved. With the savings in energy cost you would expect to recoup the cost within 2 years.
Grants are available to cover some or even all of the cost of cavity insulation, thanks to government funding in collaboration with the major energy companies. We can help and advise you of any grants that are available to you.
Prior to any work commencing we will carry out a thorough survey of your property to ascertain exactly what works will be required. The work itself will involve drilling small holes in your exterior brickwork to blow the insulation in and usually takes no more than a few hours. On completion, all drilled holes are filled and any mess thoroughly cleaned up.
Can I have cavity insulation?
There are a few simple checks you can carry out to determine if your property can benefit from cavity wall insulation:
– You currently have wall cavities with no existing insulation
– Your property was built more than 10 years ago
– The cavity in your wall is at least 50mm or 5cm wide
– Your walls, brickwork and masonry is in good order
Don’t worry if you’re unsure, get in touch and we’ll be happy to advise you further or arrange to look at your property to see if it qualifies.
